Construction of negative pressure rooms at AHEPA Hospital

Construction – The negative pressure room creates and maintains vacuum in the space  through a special ventilation system and thus does not allow the air inside the room to escape to other areas of the building. To ensure that air does not escape from the room to the rest of the building, the room doors are connected to the main door leading to the rest of the building with an interlock system, a system that does not allow the room doors to open at the same time as the main door.

The negative pressure rooms are part of our project “Construction fo new Special Infections Unit” at AHEPA Hospital, Thessaloniki
